- Yosemite’s first museum was a converted artist’s studio. Ansel Hall built the display cases and the model of the Yosemite Valley himself.
Ansel Hall sets the cornerstone for the new Yosemite Museum (August 25, 1924). This was the first structure specifically built as a museum for the National Park Service.
